Weekly reference sheet begins publishing at operations launch
The reference index tracks the market price for each metal family. The grade factor adjusts for the specific grade and condition of your material (clean segregated copper commands a higher factor than mixed burnt wire; structural steel a higher factor than light mixed scrap). Logistics reflects distance and access at your site; handling reflects cutting, sorting or destruction work required. All four numbers appear on your account documents.
Why a formula instead of “best price, tawad pa”?
Because a negotiated price is an event, and events can’t be audited — a formula is a policy, and policies can. When the market moves, your price moves with the index, not with a gate negotiation you have to re-win every pickup. Procurement files the formula once; finance reconciles tickets against it; nobody’s margin depends on your representative’s haggling stamina that morning. Informal buyers resist this level of disclosure for a simple reason: opacity is where their margin lives. Ours doesn’t — it lives in running trucks full and yards disciplined.
What about “presyo ng bakal ngayon” and junk shop price lists?
Two honest notes. First: if you searched “presyo ng bakal,” check whether you meant new rebar prices for construction — that’s a different market entirely; this page is about scrap. Second: junk-shop per-kilo price lists on social media serve walk-in consumers. How do quantity differentials work?
Larger consolidated volumes earn better formula terms because they cost us less per kilo to collect — that differential is disclosed in your agreement, not discovered in a renegotiation. Contract accounts also see the revision calendar: the reference updates weekly, and your tickets always cite the reference date they were priced against.
Can we verify the weighing that the price is applied to?
Yes — that’s the other half of honest pricing. Calibrated scales, dual-custody weighing, your witness present or CCTV clip provided, 0.5% variance tolerance with audits when exceeded. Price × weight is only as honest as its weakest factor; we publish the price and prove the weight.
