Ferrous & steel scrap — the workhorse tonnage, papered properly

Structural steel, plate, pipe, rebar cuts, machine-shop turnings, HMS and mixed heavy scrap — bought from companies at formula price with calibrated weighing.

We buy ferrous and steel scrap from companies in Metro Manila and nearby provinces: structural sections and beams, plate and sheet offcuts, pipes, rebar cuts from construction, machine-shop turnings and borings, heavy melting scrap (HMS) and mixed heavy grades. Ferrous is the volume backbone of most industrial accounts — the material that makes a scheduled hauling agreement pay for itself.

Which ferrous grades do we distinguish?

  • Heavy structural — beams, channels, thick plate; the strongest factor in the family.
  • Plate & pipe offcuts — clean production offcuts, graded above mixed scrap.
  • Rebar cuts — construction cutting waste; note this is scrap rebar, not new-bar trading.
  • Turnings & borings — machine-shop swarf; graded on oil/coolant contamination.
  • Mixed light scrap — sheet-metal offcuts, drums, light fabrication waste.

Exact factors per grade sit in the weekly pricing reference; your agreement lists the definitions so classification is a lookup, not an argument.

What raises the value of a ferrous load?

Segregation, above everything. Heavy structural mixed into light scrap gets priced as the blend it arrives as; segregated at source, each grade earns its own factor. Second: dryness and cleanliness — waterlogged or heavily contaminated loads carry deductions we would rather disclose in advance than argue about at the scale. Your Account Officer will suggest a simple segregation setup at survey; most sites achieve it with floor space and two signs.
